THE SILVER LINING OF OUR CURRENT SITUATION
The silver lining for all businesses and customers during this time is that businesses are forced to evolve. We have to figure out new ways to bring value to those we serve. We have to figure out new ways to operate more efficiently.
There will be growing pains, but the end result is a better business with a better product. Meaning we will be around longer and serve you better.
OUR LATEST EVOLUTION
This evolution for us and for you is customized online Coaching.
Even when we are back to normal in our physical space, customized online Coaching will be a major service for us. It will be the highest tier of service we offer. It’s the ultimate way for us to ensure results and the highest level of accountability for the specific needs of the individual.
The person that wants to lose weight will receive different guidance, workout variations, and check-ins than the person looking to increase performance as a CrossFit athlete.
The person needing to work on gymnastics will receive different Coaching than the one needing to work on strength.
This customized approach requires more time, expertise, and resources on our part but will yield the highest level of results for our athletes. Naturally, that premium service warrants a higher price point than our traditional memberships, but the return will certainly be worth it.
HOWEVER…this new service is simply part of your membership as we continue in our virtual environment.
It allows us to test it and perfect it all while bringing you the highest value possible.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each one of you now has a specific Coach that wanted to work with you. Here is what happens next:
- The Coach will contact you for a quick phone call to talk about your goals, struggles, and equipment you have on hand.
- On Sundays, he/she will send you a week of programming that is adjusted specifically for you, your goals, and your equipment on hand. It’ll be based on our general programming (and sometimes won’t vary from it) depending on your needs.
- In the middle of the week, the Coach will check in to see how your workouts are going and what help you need.
- Every time we check in we will update our workout tracker to keep tabs on your activity level. If you need an intervention – you’ll get one haha.
EXAMPLE OF HOW IT WORKS
Let’s say Monday’s workout is Cindy:
5 Pull Ups
10 Push Ups
Let’s say that John really wants to work on his endurance. I may tell John to make it a 30 minute AMRAP but add a 400m Run every 5 minutes so he can work on the long range engine…especially if I know he struggles with running.
Conversely, Susan wants to work on her overall push/pull strength. I might keep the AMRAP at 20 but have her do strict/banded pull ups and take the push ups down to 5 each round but mandate they be push ups from the toes even if that means singles.
Finally, let’s say Ed wants to simply increase his work capacity – i.e. his ability to do work in a given time frame. Cindy is perfect as is for this goal, so I wouldn’t change a thing.
We’ve actually worked on this idea since before we even closed the physical space. As part of that process we’ve consulted some of the best mentors and gyms in the world. That said, I’m sure we won’t be prefect to start, which is why we are excited to test it over the coming weeks.
